Marquette County Transportation is a service for eligible persons (60 and older), veterans, or disabled persons who are unable to drive.  We utilize two different ways to transport clients – 1.  In a county-owned van or lift-equipped vehicle and 2.  A volunteer driver’s personal vehicle. The means of transportation is determined by the client’s needs and availability of vehicles.  Shared rides are necessary to accommodate the needs of many people and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation. Transportation is limited to a 50-mile radius outside of Marquette County borders. If you have special needs or require assistance, please inform the dispatcher at the time you call in your appointment.  Services are provided in a non-discriminatory manner, without regard to race, color, or national origin.  Title VI and ADA public notice

Transportation to medical appointments is our primary service and a priority for all clients.  Reservation is required 2 business days in advance. It is very important that if you need a ride to a medical appointment that you call with as much advanced notice as possible.  It takes time to arrange a ride and with enough notice we try to accommodate your request.   Please call (608) 297-3104 to schedule a ride. The office will call you back when they are able to secure a ride and let you know what time you will be picked up and by whom.  Please remember to try and schedule medical appointments between the hours of 8 a.m. and  2 p.m. M-F.

Transportation to other locations:  A ride to other locations may also be provided if there is availability.  This could include social appointments, shopping, and personal business appointments.

Transportation to Shopping:  If you need a ride to Portage for shopping the Transportation Program will coordinate and provide transportation to residents of Westfield, Montello, Packwaukee, Oxford and Endeavor typically the 4th Thursday of the month.   Transportation will be provided to Portage for shopping (at approx. 9am, and returning around 12pm).   Timeframes are approximate and will depend on the number of riders.
