Marquette County DHS – Aging Unit: Marquette County Transportation is a service for the elderly (60 and over), veterans, and/or disabled persons who are unable to drive or have no family member to take them to medical appointments. The Transportation Specialist will be available by phone to receive transportation requests Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (excluding holidays and special training days). Transportation requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance (excluding weekends and holidays). It takes time to arrange a ride and if you do not give enough notice, you may not be able to obtain a ride. There is a fee-for-service for each ride.

Medical Transport Management (MTM): Non-emergency medical transportation for those who have Badgercare or Medicaid, as well as MCO’s. As the state of Wisconsin’s non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) manager, MTM, Inc. arranges transportation for eligible Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus members throughout the state to their covered preventative and life-sustaining medical appointments. Our goal is to work with Wisconsin stakeholders to ensure a transparent, collaborative relationship while coordinating an innovative, quality-driven transportation program for members, medical facilities, and transportation providers. Call to set-up a ride to your health care provider if you have no other way to get there. Rides must be scheduled at least two business days in advance. Routine trips are scheduled Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All Vet’s Transport: Free transportation is available for Veterans to medical appointments at the VA hospitals in Madison, Milwaukee, and the out-patient clinics in Baraboo and Beaver Dam. Hours are restricted to appointments between 9am and 2 pm. Vans do not have lifts, patients must be able to transfer from wheelchairs to vans independently. No emergency/ Ambulance calls available.
American Cancer Society-Road to Recovery: Free service for patients receiving cancer treatment. Patients must be ambulatory, and a 5-day notice is required. Call to verify days and times.
Amtrak: Multiple locations, however Portage and Wisconsin Dells locations are not staffed. Westbound train is generally in the late afternoon, east bound train mid-day. Call for details and prices.

Fox River Industries: Fox River Industries provides daily transportation for elderly and disabled employees in the Green Lake County area with Human Service vehicles provided through Disabilities Services, Inc. These vehicles are also made available for community use at competitive rates for those interested in providing transportation services to elderly and disabled residents of Green Lake County. Green Lake County: All areas of Green Lake County are provided with “response to call-in”, door-to-door transportation services to any person 55 years of age and older or any handicapped person. The priority areas of the programs are to provide transportation to medical appointments, congregate meal sites, and other personal appointments necessary for daily living. Monday – Friday. Local rides need to be arranged 2 days prior to appointments, and 1 week for appointments in larger cities.

Vanpool: The State Vanpool program provides alternate transportation for state and non-state employees commuting to Madison from outside communities. Participants can join a group that is already established or if there are enough interested people, they can form a new Vanpool. Riders enjoy low rates, comfortable vans, and the benefit of convenient pick-up and drop-off locations. Portage, Columbus, Wisconsin Dells, Wyocena, Poynette and Lodi have established Vanpool groups.

Wisconsin Employment Transportation Program: Offered through the Central Wisconsin Community Action Council. Provides car loans to income-eligible, employed individuals. Down payment is required.
